Shock 'n' Y'all Entertainment was established in may 2009.  I  decided that my time of working under another DJ Company was over.  I returned home to Guyton, GA in September of 2009 after an extended stay in Annapolis, MD.  Shock 'n' Y'all was my chance to create a great entertaining atmosphere for parties of all shapes and sizes and be able to have the final word in how my business was run.

I joined the United States Marine Corps in March of 1998 after graduation from Windsor Forest High School in Savannah, GA.  In my four years, I was stationed at Camp David in Thurmont, MD where I was assigned to the Presidential Security Company and then finished my tour at the United States Naval Academy Security Company in Annapolis, MD.  After my tour, I transitioned to the Department of Defense Police at USNA and worked as a Police Officer for many years. I have a 4 year old son, Keegan, and he is the drive in my life and my reason for being exhausted.  Man that boy is fast.

Back in 1999, I started following a man by the name of Eddie Hitt (Moreover known as The "Hitman") and he was the owner and KJ for The Karaoke Jukebox in the Annapolis area.  We became the best of friends and it was not too long after we met that he asked me to be one of his KJs.  Of course I accepted and had one of the greatest times in my life being able to DJ for most everyone in the mid and eastern shore regions of MD.  Eddie Hitt is the reason I have the knowledge and experience to make Shock 'n' Y'all the greatest "Show within a Show". 

Our concept as DJ/KJs was that we are here to ensure people have a great time and ensure that the experience we bring to their event is one that will be remembered for a lifetime.  If you don't bring this to the table, why should they pay you to entertain them; anyone can play music on a CD player.   While working for the Karaoke Jukebox I gained a ton of experience and played in front of thousands of people.  A few of our biggest events were:

I have conducted numerous weddings from the most elegant to the wild and craziest.  I am fully experienced in working closely with wedding planners, caterers, photographers, bands, and the families themselves.  I understand the stresses of the Big Day and have always shown the participants that their day will begin knowing that they have one less thing to worry about because the DJ has it all under control.

I believe that there is no party too big nor crazy that I cannot bring a full experience to the event.  Shock 'n' Y'all is also a family based company and does not tolerate disrespect or crude behavior.  You will find that the professionalism that is conveyed comes from many years of discipline and the ability to keep a cool head in any situation.  Shock 'n' Y'all has a variety of music and if we don't have it for your big day, we will find it.

We use a 1200 watt Behringer Powered Mixer and (2) 6915 TAPCO 15" Subwoofers.  Some DJ company's promote their dedication to a particular brand and give you the impression that your party will be great only if the DJ uses the BEST equipment. 

There are a ton of companies that provide excellent equipment and the main way they sound their best is up to the DJ.  It is his/her job to mix the music correctly and ensure that the equipment is performing it's best.  Make sure you check out your DJ before you book him/her.
